LEADERS CAN INSPIRE EACH OTHER

LEADERSHIP EQUALITY  DIALOGUES - A POSITIVE WAY FORWARD

The social enterprise Diverse Ethics has demonstrated significant leadership about diversity in the workplace, examples of which are:

  • Thought leadership (through our books ‘Celebrating Diversity’, ‘Many-Sided Wisdom’ and ‘Social Cohesion’).
  • Innovative Leadership Training through Guided Culture Tours and Cultivating a Borderless Mind.
  • Development of the unique media portal www.diverseethics.com which combines both ethics and diversity and gives a ‘smart’ approach to the new Equality Act. Articles and information here can empower and stimulate leaders and professionals to progress and prosper through inclusion not exclusion.

We are looking to establish a series of dialogues and best practice exchanges, covering different industries and professions, to enable the sharing of good ideas and practices amongst leaders. This will give people courage to make the culture changes and to embed cultural diversity throughout their organisation.

TOPICS

Here are some suggestions for topics:

  • How can we make employee networks effective and stimulating? What can we learn from each other?
  • How can we approach the new Equality Act smartly, such that both the letter and the spirit of the law are met at the same time?
  • How can HR as a profession truly embrace race equality in its thinking, processes and actions?
  • How can minority employees be empowered to overcome glass ceilings?
  • Are Public Appointments on Boards really open and accessible to ethnic professionals?

FORMAT

Each dialogue will involve up to twenty people, meeting together for two hours in a boardroom setting and discussing under Chatham House rules. There will be a topic and focus for the discussion, with the scene set by the opening speaker, and then the dialogue will open to the invitees. Diverse Ethics will Chair each dialogue to ensure participants get maximum benefit from the meeting. At the end, there will be an additional informal half hour for people to mingle and enjoy refreshments.

BENEFITS OF PARTICIPATION

The dialogue will help you benchmark and learn from peers. New thinking and research on the issue will be shared, and networking will be enabled. Examples of what has worked will be unravelled, and staff development and culture change strategies will emerge from the discussions. In a short time, participants will get a very high return on their investment. A summary of the dialogue will be written up and circulated.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

You could sponsor an event, by hosting it in your offices. Otherwise we can provide you with a quote for co-ordinating a dialogue.
